After taking his good-natured ribbing, Dad obliged my request and humored me. Posing as my fly fishing model, I got as many photographs as my cold feet could handle. The creek is always brisk even on the warmest days, yet on this cool early Summer morning the temperature seemed extraordinarily chilly. After arriving home and getting my photographs developed, I began to realize the scope of this artistic undertaking. Never one to shy from a challenge, I jumped into this project with both of my now warm and toasty feet.

This painting is much more than an artist capturing a moment in time. It’s a daughter’s chance to share her love for her Dad. While they didn’t always agree, she did respect and appreciate his sound advice. Dad — thank you for being there for me, your loving daughter. (PS — Although never one to complain, I suspect you were a bit cold on that morning as well). ©
